1. More professional. It`s more about professional sharing rather than about time-killing, entertainment and chatting. As we have already mentioned that in the article about Google and Facebook, it could hardly become a social network in the way we got used to see social networks. It started as part of search, the purpose for its launch was clear: not just only to become competitive with Facebook, but also to incorporate social data into SERPs. Everyone is there for a reason and not just for fun. Well, yes, for fun also, but this is the secondary purpose.

2. Less celebrities. At present, people interested in ranking and promotion can be found on Google+ in majority. Statistics say that Google+ takes the last place among the other social networks for the number of celebrities` accounts. And it is said that the top 10 of Google + accounts are tech people. The fact speaks for itself.

3. "Clean". Google+ is less spammy so far. No bots, no tons of automatic friend requests and messages. No automatic updates, so only manual stuff is on your stream. But being a network connected with SERP`s it may become the most spammed in the future.

4. Less populated. It may change very soon. But now we have a unique chance to build up friend circles from real people, promote ourselves and get noticed easier. By the way, the audience is said to be very movable and responsive.

5. And no advertising on your page at all! This is so nice! Again, all this will change in the future.

6. Simplicity. Not much of a functionality, though. But who said it`s bad? All we need is G+ button and content to be shared!

7. It`s projected impact on search results. Not only should you be logined into Google+ to see personalized search results, you should also have a bunch of friends in your circles - their sharing can also influence what you see in SERPs. Why not try it and see how it works? Why not use it to popularize your content? Even if the personalized search will work only for G+ users, it is still a great opportunity to start mining.

8. Authorship. You can connect your Google+ profile with your content from other sites, and prove your authorship for the articles and posts you write, thus creating your positive image on the web and becoming more trusted and authoritative. If there is an article of yours in the results page, then there is also "more by" link. By clicking it, you get other articles by that author.

9. Self-promotion. Google+ button, appearing in search results, makes it possible to add author in circles without even leaving SERPs. It may rank you higher than others according to +1s, who knows? The Google+ network now allows users to create non-users pages for sharing information about their businesses.

10. Google Analytics and Google+. Now you have your author statistics gathered in Webmaster Tools! It has very potential future and there is much to be seen regarding their integration.

Personally I like the idea of adding of G button to the search. It’s informative. But why this personalized search, I honestly don’t know. If I read the stuff my friends publish in my stream, then why on earth should I receive the same stuff in my search results?! If I want to learn something new, I should have the opportunity to switch it off somehow… If in the future, say, I will have 100 000 friends, all the search pages will duplicate the content from my G ? Why use search then? It becomes meaningless. what if I need to look for something new, the stuff my friends didn't share and as a result I get only their dhared articles on the topic. Do you agree?

It's a valid point. I think when Google will develop to that point, they will figure out something how to switch it off. I myself was thinking about it. It won't do good to search when one and the same socialized information will be searched over and over, leaving valid but less popular posts without notice. Plus, taking into consideration all SMO optimized things that are about to appear. Globalization never does any good in any sphere of life. Until Google is the giant of the SEO industry, Google won't be able to overcome these drawbacks.

Everything is great – opportunities, branding and so on… but the more it would be social, the less it would be private. this is law! all apps, APIs, different third party sites will make it worse and worse. even gmail won’t be secure, your albums, your pics and your search won’t be private and more susceptible to malicious attacks. This is all very bad!

Yep, that's right! Internet tends to be less private, that is the main issue. we can do nothing about it, can we? There have already been several issues with privacy when G was launched, some private albums showed up somewhere in results, it seems, but Google fixed the problem and I think they will be struggling for keeping as much privacy as they could. I think they don't like being brought actions against them.

@ Lady Google Neither of us wants to be public without our knowing it. Yet, many of online entrepreneurs and small businesses are looking forward to getting more popular for our business promotion. That’s the reason why people do not worry or do not care if G is going to reveal some info about them.

Agree about professional contacts. I am registered on several professional networks, and I understand Google plus is going to be the most global among them.
